SCOPIO LABS · RMS

OVERVIEW
Scopio Labs builds digital cell morphology scanners used in medical labs worldwide.
Their distributors manage and run actions on hundreds of these devices remotely.
OPERATING IN THE DARK
The work environment wasn't built around how distributors actually worked. Every operation felt like a risk. Users stopped trusting the system and escalated routine tasks to support. Every escalation an unnecessary cost to the business.
CHALLENGES
01
No visibility into active operations: Users juggled multiple browser tabs with no way to track which operation was running on which device.

02
Scripts were open for editing. One wrong change could break a live scanner. Users were afraid to act.
Navigating away from an active update meant losing all visibility. Progress, logs, and context disappeared instantly.

03
No shared protocol. Every user invented their own process: same errors, every time.
THE SOLUTION
Three solutions, one coherent system
SOLUTION 01
Persistent Context. Always know which device. Always know what's running.

SOLUTION 02
Commands labeled by the trigger users already recognize, not by script syntax.
Persistent dual-indication. Log and progress remain available even after navigating away.

SOLUTION 03
Two mandatory checks before proceeding. Next unlocks only when both are confirmed.
Software Update Navigate freely while the update runs. The SU tag tracks progress live.
03
Guided next steps based on update status. Advisory, not enforced.
EXPECTED IMPACT
Trust as a business goal
Designing for trust wasn't a UX decision. It was a business decision.
