Ranger Survey

We conducted this survey to better understand the challenges veterinary professionals face when using Ranger. Our aim was to identify pain points, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance overall satisfaction with the system.

Survey Results

We asked the medical teams to rate how time-consuming they found each of the following tasks in the Ranger EMR system, 5 (very time-consuming), 1 (not time-consuming)

UX KPIs Results

A few months after each improvement was released, we measured its success against the UX KPIs we had set.

Faster Documentation

Auto-Fill from Last Visit

Auto-Fill from Last Visit

Recognizing repeated patterns, we've added default auto-fill in Intake and Subjective screens using data from the last session.

Faster Documentation

Immunization and Medication Auto-Fill

Immunization and Medication Auto-Fill

Immunization/Medication Data

Auto-fill is now applied to commonly repeated fields. A toggle lets users save values and reappears only if changes are made. A disclaimer shows when the data was last saved.

Streamlined Session Navigation

Flexible Step Access

Flexible Step Access

To support the KPI of reducing clicks by 30% per treatment session, the step-by-step flow was redesigned as navigable tabs.

Switching Between Pets

Switching Between Pets

Users can switch between pets during a session via a dropdown in the session header.

Direct Medical Record Access

Multiple vets highlighted difficulty accessing Medical Records from the session flow. To address this, a dedicated button was added to the session header, in addition to the existing option in the header menu.
